This is based on our strong belief in the important role students can play in advancing their societies and supporting their churches, if and when given the opportunity to build their knowledge and skills.

According to data and records gathered by our Office, there is a large number of Christian students enrolled in public and non-Christian schools in Jordan where they do not receive a Christian education. The Student Program’s main objective is to fill this gap by offering students a Christian education that enforces the values of love and care. This will help them develop and maintain their identity, build confidence and improve their skills and capabilities so they can become productive and active members of their communities.

The Student Program of the Christian Hope Office delivers the following:

Enroll students at Christian schools.

Support students throughout school until completion of their secondary education.

Offer students in public school the chance to receive a Christian education, which ensures a strong spiritual and community foundation that they can build upon later in life.

This is done through additional classes taken at parishes – Sunday schools- or by moving students to Christian schools.

Since the establishment of the program in 2007 and up until 2020, a total of 300 students, both males and females, benefited from these services.

How the Program Works

The Christian Hope Office operates in a highly transparent, organized and efficient manner. At the end of this stage, the office would’ve compiled a comprehensive list of students, including preliminary requests.

Application: students’ parents complete detailed applications, enclosing the required official documentation, including recommendations from the relevant parish.

Research and Review: A special team representing the Christian Hope Office conducts visits to students’ homes to meet with students, validate their circumstances and finalize their applications for submission with recommendations to the right committee.

Approval and Implementation: Upon the committee’s approval, a team explores neighborhoods and schools to identify the most appropriate school for each student taking into account distance and availability. Once availability is established, a student’s parent is asked to initiate the process of transferring the child to the new school and bringing all documentation to the Office to complete all related administrative and financial matters required for the transfer.

Follow-up: The Office conducts regular follow ups to monitor each student’s academic accomplishments, and progress with Christian education towards meeting the program’s objectives.

Program financial support

Jesus says: “Truly I tell you: Whatever you have done for one of the least of these brothers of mine you have done it for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

The Student Program is funded by individual and/or corporate donors depending on each donor’s commitment and capabilities.
